Welcome to Janie Darr Elementary! We are proud to be a school where all belong, learn, and succeed. Through strong relationships, high expectations, and a safe, supportive environment, we ensure every student is known, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential.

At Janie Darr, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. We are committed to accelerating learning, developing character, and equipping students with the skills to collaborate, think critically, and thrive in an ever-changing world.

As a Cambridge Global Perspectives school, we foster curiosity, communication, and problem-solving while preparing students to become confident learners and compassionate leaders. We are excited to welcome our students and families for the 2026-2027 school year! Below you'll find important dates, reminders, and resources to help your family prepare for a successful start to the school year. 

Pre-K & Kindergarten Parent Meetings
Wednesday, August 5, 2026

Families of incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten students are invited to learn about school procedures, expectations, and resources to help students start the year successfully.

Grades 1-5 Information Night & Meet the Teacher
Monday, August 10, 2026

Students and families are invited to meet teachers, learn about the upcoming school year, and prepare for a successful start.

Additional event details will be shared as the dates approach.

Families who may qualify for meal assistance should complete a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application.

Meal benefits do not automatically carry over from year to year. Applications must be completed annually to determine eligibility.

Starting July 1, applications may be submitted online or completed in person during Meet Your Teacher Night.
